Minn-Kota Emergency REACT history

Formed as the F-M area REACT Committee in September 2007, for the purpose of seeking a charter with REACT International, for a team in the Red River Valley (Fargo, ND / Moorhead, MN). Jim Jensen, a life member (#522) of REACT International had asked Dr. David Lovejoy if he would liked to start a team in the area, and If he would be the team President. David, a former officer (Corporate Secretary, 1995-1996) with Maricopa County REACT Inc. in Glendale, AZ, accepted the responsibility, and the opportunity to serve another REACT Team. On October 1, 2007, the name Red River Valley REACT was chosen.
On October 14, 2007, our charter application was approved at the annual meeting of the Minnesota REACT Team Council in St. Cloud, making Red River Valley REACT, an offical REACT team.
At the Board meeting in March 2008, it was voted upon to change the team name to Minn-Kota Emergengy REACT. The change was necessary due to the fact that we serve the people of eastern North Dakota, as well as Minnesota, not just the Red River Valley area. This change took effect on May 1st, 2008.
