Minn-Kota Emergency REACT
Minn-Kota Emergency REACT history
.At the Board meeting in March 2008, it was voted upon to change the team name to Minn-Kota Emergengy REACT. The change was necessary due to the fact that we serve the people of eastern North Dakota, as well as Minnesota, not just the Red River Valley area. This change took effect on May 1st, 2008.
"Public service through communications"
REACT is a 501(C)(3) volunteer based public service organization comprised of volunteer radio operators to provide public safety communications to individuals, organizations, and government agencies to save lives, prevent injuries, and give assistance wherever and whenever needed. Minn-Kota Emergency REACT relies on tax deductible donations as the only source of income to fund our various projects to improve our team. Member volunteers are dedicated to improving their communities by providing voluntary, two-way communications to ensure safety during community based runs, walks, parades, and various other events. Some of our members are licensed amateur radio operators, First Responders, and ordained ministers. Minn-Kota Emergency REACT Serves western Minnesota, and eastern North Dakota.
